There are a few companies starting to use them. Overloud, Two Notes, Celestion of course.Okay, you've got me googling it and ... the only thing I can really find is something from Celestion called DSR (dynamic speaker response) https://www.celestionplus.com/products/ ... ponse-dsr/, a little discussion on the S-gear boards about them and a review from Sound on Sound.
This was from about 3 years ago so not sure what's happened since but at the time it seemed like only Celestion, they were a subtle improvement for some people without being groundbreaking but you needed to use them with Celestion's speakermix plugin.
Have things moved on since then because I'm not seeing an awful lot about it apart from the initial flurry back in 2021?
There are a lot more that don't use Dynamic IRs yet. It may be a fad, if not, no doubt Scuffham
will get on board sooner or later. Now we have the AI based modelers like Tonex and Neural
in the game as well, they model everything, the amp, pedals, gear etc. I don't even know if
they use IR's at all. I think they do something similar initially at least.
